About us

Malabar is a coast in southwestern India that runs through the state of Kerala, where my family is from. Kerala has always been a magical and humbling place as generations of my family have lived and thrived there. From the intoxicating sounds of the ocean waves to the bustling streets full of life, to the enchanting elephants throughout the country, there is no place more lovely to me. Naturally, it made sense to have my company, tie back to the beautiful region of Kerala. 

As a child of first generation immigrants, I learned so many lessons watching my parents navigate a new life in a new country and I am forever grateful for that. Over time I realized that living in America was a privilege and that I should dream without limits! With the support and encouragement of my family, I launched Malabar Collection. 

I have always had a love for fashion and the way that certain pieces could make you look and feel so beautiful. After years of listening to friends and colleagues complain about not having the time, patience or desire to shop at big box stores, I felt inspired to change that. I decided to create an online boutique with beautifully crafted and fashion forward pieces that would make others feel seen and empowered.
